Riding the Fire Horse through 2026

Read the smoke signals to safely navigate your way through this year.

For those of you who are interested in astrology or having readings, 2026 is certainly one hell of an energy to ride! We are already witnessing rapid, chaotic change and such times can see, what I call a period of ‘shape-shifting’ be it political, economic, social or cultural.

In Chinese astrology a Fire Horse Year happens every 60 years. The last one was 1966 when we saw the escalation of the Vietnam war by the U.S. - the beginning of China’s cultural revolution - the founding of the civil rights Black Panther party.

We also know there was the ‘swinging 60’s’ that brought liberation and innovation in music and film, space exploration, and a more expansive lifestyle for the flower-power new generation, very different from that of the 1950’s.

And so it is, our generation has this fiery, innovative, fast moving energy that both creates and destroys.

AI is both welcomed enthusiastically and vilified, but all the same it is here. Do with it what you will. The work-place has changed significantly. All generations are looking for more resourceful ways to earn or make money as full-time employment opportunities lessen and the chance to own your own home becomes more elusive for so many.

This is a year of individuation, collaborations, multiple income streams and generations of us focused on regeneration. The more you burn with the passion to create and live a beautiful life in harmony with others and this mother earth, the less likely you will get burned by circumstances and events outside of your control.

There is never smoke without fire. We feel the heat of a great fire from some distance. In 2026 it will be our ability to read those smoke signals and sense the heat from afar, that can help us navigate safely through such uncertain times.

Fire brings regeneration to ecosystems by acting as a natural, ecological "reset button" that clears dead organic material, recycles nutrients into the soil, and triggers the germination of dormant seeds. (Google)

Choose to fire up your creative, loving energy by regenerating your relationship with nature, money, technology and especially with other souls. In each and every one of us there is a seed of creation. What life do you want to create for yourself this year?

Activate your smoke and heat detectors, look up higher and farther into the horizon of your life, rather than down at your phone, laptop or TV. This fiery landscape will take some navigating through, but oh the new fertile ground it will bring.
